Astronomers discover mega alien structure in space
Penn State University astronomer Jason Wright has evidence to publish a major discovery of a cluster of mega structures found on a star very close to the Milky Way, called KIC 8462852.
In an interview with the highly regarded British newspaper, The Independent, Jason Wright said: “I can’t understand and that’s what makes the situation interesting, very cool. It’s like it doesn’t make sense.”
In a report for The Atlantic website , Dr. Wright added that extraterrestrials should be the last option considered, but the buildings appear to be something built by beings from other planets. “I was fascinated by how crazy it looks,’” said the astronomer.
Other astronomers involved in the research said that clusters of objects in space look like something you would expect to be built by an extraterrestrial civilization.
“We’ve never seen anything like these stars before,” said Yale University’s Tabetha Boyajian . “It’s very weird. We thought it could be an information error from the computers or some movement on the spacecraft, but everything was checked.”
KIC 8462852 is located between the constellations Swan and Lyra, just above the Milky Way. The first time it was noticed was in 2009, when the Kepler telescope identified it as similar to Earth, for having planets orbiting like those close to Planet Earth.
But KIC 8462852 was emitting a strange pattern of light, unlike any other star in Kepler’s search for inhabited planets.
The Kepler telescope works by analyzing light in distant places in the Universe, looking for changes that occur when planets move in front of their stars, which has been seen in more than 150,000 stars simultaneously. But the parameters of KIC 8462852 don’t seem to be normal for a planet.

After the Kepler telescope collected enough information, they needed human eyes, and human work that could not be done by current computer programs, so the project’s astronomers decided to create Planet Hunters , a program that allows amateur scientists to examine the patterns emitted by the stars from within the comfort of their own home. Since then many stars classified as ‘interesting’ and ‘bizarre’ have been found.
If you’re interested, you can participate in Planet Hunters too, and who knows how to revolutionize astronomy.
