After the end of World War II, in the mid-20th century, a new conflict began…
From the late 1950s onwards, space would become another dramatic backdrop for this competition, as each nation sought to demonstrate the superiority of its technology, its military firepower, and, by extension, its political-economic system.
We are talking about the “ Space Race ”, which lasted approximately from 1955 to 1975. 45 years have passed, but it seems that now a new “race” has started between the two countries, who will be the first to find extraterrestrial life.
This week we witnessed a truly startling announcement, astronomers believe that life could survive high in the atmosphere of Venus.
An international team of astronomers led by Professor Jane Greaves of the University of Cardiff, Wales , announced the discovery of phosphine gas in these high clouds, a molecule produced on Earth by microbes that live in similar environments without oxygen.
Scientists expect microbial life on Venus to be very different from that on Earth, as it would need to survive in the hyperacid conditions of the planet’s clouds, which are made almost entirely of sulfuric acid.
And Russia’s reaction to such a discovery did not take long.
A group of Russian astronomers announce they have clear images of fossils of living alien microorganisms in a meteorite that came from an exoplanet outside our solar system, life that existed even before our solar system emerged.
Aleksey Rozanov , scientific director of astrobiology at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research , told the RIA Novost news agency that he and a research team from the Paleontological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research are about to publish a series of High-quality microscopic images of “micro-alien” fossils found inside the Orgueil meteorite that crashed in Orgueil, France, on May 14, 1864 .

The 20 fragments collected are from the most studied meteorite in the world.
In fact, histories of similar organic matter found at the site almost immediately after its discovery, along with its unusual composition, indicate that it was likely not from our solar system.
It has already been found then, but out of fear it has not been interpreted in such a way as not to scare people.”
The images we received are well interpreted, it cannot be disputed. But they will continue to argue. People who have never done this are the ones who argue the most. This is not a discovery, but the establishment of a concrete fact that panspermia is a real phenomenon.”
Mikhail Kapralov, a junior researcher at the Laboratory of Radiological Biology of the Astrobiology Section of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research , explains that the team used the electron microscope to observe the meteorite’s interior, in its internal cracks and crevices to rule out that the evidence was not terrestrial. .
But they found fossilized magnetotactics (bacteria that line up along a magnetic field) and coccoid -like fossils , the rod-shaped forms of prokaryotes, acritarchs, protists, alveolates, and armored amoebas.
More evidence of extraterrestrial life
But the controversy does not end here. In addition to the Orgueil meteorite, several scientists say the Soviet Union discovered the existence of extraterrestrial life on Venus many years ago.
It was in 1981 when the Soviet Union launched the Venera 13 probe to explore the surface of Venus.
The mission was launched at a time when the space race was at its height and, as a result, all operations related to the Venera 13 spacecraft were kept under wraps.
After 40 years, a Russian scientist named Leonid Ksanfomaliti published an article in the journal Solar System Research in which he claimed that the USSR (Soviet Union) discovered evidence of extraterrestrial life on Venus several years ago.
According to Ksanfomaliti, the USSR discovered a moving creature of extraterrestrial origin during its unmanned mission to Venus.
The details of the discovery made by the USSR were later detailed in the Quest TV documentary ‘NASA Unexplained Files’ .
In the series, the narrator explains how investigators detected the mysterious creature crawling across the hostile Venusian surface.
A Soviet space probe hits the hottest planet in the Solar System.”
explains the narrator.
“A lander packed with cameras and science instruments dives more than 30 miles through clouds of sulfuric acid to reach the surface.
The probe sends images that appear to show something moving on the surface. It takes three decades for a Russian scientist, Leonid Ksanfomaliti, to reveal startling images from the archives.”
In his study report, Leonid Ksanfomalit stated that the creature had all the morphological characteristics that suggest the fact that it is a living alien being.
He also made it clear that the mysterious creature detected by the Venera 13 spacecraft had a scorpion-shaped body, a disk and a black flap that moved as the camera recorded the scene.
However, NASA experts discredited the Russian discovery and assured that the mysterious object detected on Venus by the Venera 13 spacecraft was not an extraterrestrial being, but rather the lens cap of the Venera camera.
Undoubtedly, we are witnessing something really unusual, a new “space race”, but this time to see who discovers extraterrestrial life first.
Either way, it’s time for someone to confirm what they’ve known for decades:
That we are not alone in the universe…
